Five times yoga was seen on TV commercials

As a yoga student, I get goosebumps whenever I see a yoga clip featured on television. Whether it is as advanced as an inversion or as calm as meditation, this could possibly influence an individual to practice yoga. Listed below are only a few TVCs that I have stumbled upon recently.

1. Dove featured split second clips of advanced poses such as full wheel pose and headstand that briefly showed their armpits for its deodorant ad.

2. Lifetime channel has proven that yoga is gaining popularity when it featured a couple of videos on Alicia Pan, a Singapore-based yoga teacher and founder of Yoga Movement studio for its women’s month Fempire series.

3. Wilkins was definitely talking about yoga when it showed a woman on side plank in its ‘flow your best’ ad. While this could easily be mistaken for a normal workout, I believe that it’s about yoga since it associated the pose with being pure.

4. Summit did the same when it featured Filipina actress, Andrea Torres, in its ‘thirst for more’ ad. I am not sure if she is really a yoga practitioner but I hope she is.

5. Ensure Gold won the hearts of viewers when it featured Angelica who amazes us with her bakasana and headstand at the age of 64. The ad was so powerful that my mom even bought the product.
